Role & responsibilities 1. Compliance Management: - Ensure the manufacturing plant complies with all local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations. - Manage and monitor the plant's adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations. - Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure legal compliance in all plant operations. 2. Contract Management: - Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and contractors. - Negotiate terms and conditions to protect the plants interests. 3. Litigation and Dispute Resolution: - Manage legal disputes, including labor disputes, contract breaches, and environmental compliance issues. - Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary. 4. Policy Development: - Develop and implement policies related to legal compliance, ethics, and governance. - Keep updated with changes in legislation and adjust company policies accordingly. Preferred candidate profile - Bachelors degree in Law. Key Skills: - Strong knowledge of employment law, contract law, and regulatory compliance. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. - High level of integrity and ethical standards.
