Overview The EYP Homeroom/Pre-Primary Teacher plays a pivotal role in the foundational stages of education at our Whitefield, Bangalore location. This position is designed for an enthusiastic professional who possesses a passion for nurturing young minds. The teacher will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning among children aged three to six years. This role is crucial as it sets the groundwork for students future educational journeys while promoting holistic development encompassing social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Collaboration with parents, caregivers, and fellow educators will be essential to provide a unified approach to child development, ensuring that each child s individual needs are met. By employing innovative teaching strategies and age-appropriate learning activities, the EYP Homeroom/Pre-Primary Teacher will significantly impact the childrens early learning experiences and help foster their self-esteem and independence. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the curriculum. Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Foster social skills through group activities, play, and cooperative learning experiences. Assess and monitor childrens progress through observation and documentation. Communicate effectively with parents regarding childrens development and behavior. Incorporate technology and multimedia resources for enhanced learning experiences. Encourage creativity through art, music, and hands-on activities. Adhere to school and educational guidelines and regulations. Organize and participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and community outreach. Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to enhance the learning environment. Provide individualized support to children with special needs as required. Promote health, safety, and hygiene practices within the classroom. Participate in professional development programs to enhance instructional skills. Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Teaching certification or diploma in pre-primary education. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children. Strong understanding of child development theories and practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans. Skills in classroom management and effective instructional techniques. Proficient in using technology and basic computer applications. First aid and CPR certification preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children. Understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and languages. Availability to work flexible hours, including participation in events outside of regular school hours. Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement. Background check clearance and child protection training.
