Job Title: Factory Manager Manufacturing Unit Location: Medak district, near Hyderabad Department: Operations / Production Reports to: CEO/ COO Experience: 812 years in sheet metal fabrication unit Job Summary The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sheet metal manufacturing unit, ensuring timely production, quality control, manpower management, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. This role involves optimizing manufacturing processes, maintaining machinery, and coordinating between departments to meet customer delivery timelines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Control Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer requirements. Monitor production output and make adjustments as needed. Coordinate raw material planning and inventory management. Operations Management Supervise and manage daily factory operations. Ensure machines and equipment are maintained and running efficiently. Monitor fabrication processes like laser cutting, bending, welding, punching, powder coat, assembly, packing & dispatch. Manpower Management Lead, train, and supervise shop floor supervisors and workers. Implement labour efficiency and productivity improvements. Ensure compliance with labour laws and workplace safety standards. Quality Assurance Coordinate with the QA/QC team to enforce quality standards. Monitor rejection rates and implement corrective actions. Handle customer complaints and support root cause analysis. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure factory compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Enforce EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols. Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions. Cost Control & Efficiency Identify cost-saving opportunities in production and operations. Reduce material wastage and downtime. Monitor and manage utility usage and overheads. Reporting & Coordination Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production and performance reports. Liaise with procurement, design, sales, and dispatch teams. Support audits, certifications (e.g., ISO, MSME), and client visits. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes Proficiency in reading technical drawings (AutoCAD/ Solid works) and shop floor documentation Hands-on experience with fabrication machinery (e.g., CNC laser cutters, press brakes, welding, Powder coat units) Leadership and team management Problem-solving and decision-making ERP/MRP systems familiarity Knowledge of lean manufacturing- 6 Sigma, 5S, Kaizen practices (preferred). Educational Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or related field Additional certification in operations, quality, or industrial safety is an advantage
