Role & responsibilities Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Provide visionary leadership to all departments, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Set performance goals and metrics for the operations team, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic direction. Operational Management: Oversee the manufacturing plant's daily operations, ensuring optimal resource utilization. Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and quality standards. Ensure efficient inventory control, minimizing waste, and optimizing supply chain processes. Coordinate effectively with the QA, QC, Production, Stores and Purchases, and GD departments for smooth production planning. Provide monthly reports on overtime levels, back orders, on-time shipments (OTIF), sales revenue, and inventory. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee quality control processes, implementing improvements as necessary. Maintain compliance with industry standards, including GMP, Safety, and ISO/client quality certifications, with the help of the Quality Assurance department. Financial Management: Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Monitor factory performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Provide factory performance reports and analyses to senior management. Team Development & Management: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Conduct performance evaluations, providing feedback and development opportunities for team members. Ensure effective communication and coordination among departments. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and reduce costs. Conduct regular reviews of operational processes, making adjustments as needed. Safety & Maintenance: Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, adhering to safety regulations and best practices. Oversee maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities. Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans. Experience Required: Extensive experience in managing operations in a cosmetic manufacturing environment. Proven track record in leadership roles with significant exposure to production planning, quality assurance, supply chain coordination, and financial oversight. Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance in the personal care and cosmetics industry.
