Job Description

Role & responsibilities : # Experience to set-up Cattle feed new plant or factory is preferred. # Candidate should open to travel on different location of company # Should have experience in Capex planning ,Purchase and implementation 1. Fabrication Process Management : Supervise and manage the entire feed fabrication process, including the mixing, grinding, pelletizing, and packaging of cattle feed products. Ensure that all equipment used in the fabrication process (e.g., grinders, mixers, pellet machines, etc.) is properly calibrated and operates efficiently. Coordinate production workflows to meet demand while minimizing downtime and ensuring the quality of final products. Monitor and analyze the performance of all fabrication processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimization strategies. 2. Team Leadership and Development : Lead and manage a team of fabrication operators, technicians, and laborers. Provide training and support to ensure staff are knowledgeable about fabrication processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Assign daily tasks, track progress, and ensure that all employees adhere to production schedules and quality standards. Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement continuous development programs to improve staff efficiency and skill levels. 3. Equipment and Maintenance Oversight : Ensure that all fabrication equipment and machinery are properly maintained and functioning at peak efficiency. Work closely with the maintenance team to schedule regular preventative maintenance and repair activities. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or mechanical issues with equipment to minimize disruptions to production. Manage the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring it integrates smoothly with existing processes. 4. Quality Control and Compliance : Monitor and enforce quality control measures throughout the fabrication process to ensure consistency and compliance with feed safety standards. Ensure all raw materials (grains, additives, nutrients) meet required specifications before entering the fabrication process. Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure the proper functioning of equipment, adherence to quality protocols, and the delivery of products that meet customer specifications. Maintain records of fabrication quality control, including testing, inspections, and corrective actions taken. 5. Safety and Environmental Compliance : Oversee the safety and cleanliness of the fabrication area to ensure it adheres to company and regulatory safety standards. Ensure the safe operation of machinery and tools, and implement safety training programs for all team members. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions control, and sustainable resource use. Manage workplace hazards and risks, and implement safety measures to reduce accidents and ensure a safe working environment. 6. Inventory and Resource Management : Oversee the procurement, storage, and use of raw materials (such as grains, protein meals, vitamins, etc.) necessary for the fabrication process. Coordinate with the inventory team to maintain appropriate levels of materials to avoid production stoppages. Ensure the optimal use of resources, including labor, materials, and machinery, to reduce costs and improve productivity. Implement best practices for minimizing material waste during the fabrication process. 7. Production Reporting and Documentation : Maintain accurate records related to the fabrication process, including production outputs, inventory usage, equipment maintenance, and employee activities. Generate regular reports for senior management on production metrics, including performance against targets, quality control results, and resource utilization. Identify trends, report on inefficiencies, and provide recommendations to improve production performance. Qualifications : Education : Bachelors degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Food Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in manufacturing, quality control, or process optimization (such as Lean Six Sigma) would be advantageous. Experience : 5+ years of experience in cattle feed production, fabrication, or manufacturing operations. Proven experience in managing teams, overseeing production processes, and maintaining equipment in an industrial or food processing environment. Prior experience in fabrication or machinery operations, including hands-on knowledge of feed formulation and processing equipment.
