Job Description

Eligibility: A bachelors degree in agriculture, agribusiness, farm management, or a related field. The eligibility will highly depend on your leadership ability. Requirement: Staying at our Farm in Umphrew. Monday to Saturday. 5 nights and 6 days a week. Applicants from Northeast India are highly preferable. Has strong determination and perseverance Good interpersonal and communication skills Clear, crisp communication and a great I can do it attitude Multi-task while showing commitment to detail Display a desire to grow and align with the vision of the company and see this as a long-term position Interested in aligning to our Values. 5 to 6 Core Things You Are Responsible for Crop and Livestock Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the cultivation of crops and the raising of livestock (chickens, goats, pigs, and rabbits). Monitor and manage planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting activities. Ensure the proper care, feeding, and health of livestock. Equipment and Facilities Management: Supervise the use and maintenance of farm equipment, machinery, and tools. Ensure that all facilities, such as storage areas, and processing areas, are well-maintained and comply with safety standards. Team management: Supervise farm team members. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow. Provide leadership and motivation to the farm team. Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with the local community, neighbors, and relevant stakeholders. Innovation and Technology: Stay abreast of technological advancements in agriculture. Implement new technologies and innovative practices to enhance productivity and efficiency. Market and Sales Management: Coordinate the sale of farm products. Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and opportunities for diversification. Ensure meticulous data management, analyze the data, and design efficient systems and processes to facilitate seamless farm operations. Maintain unwavering consistency in adhering to these established processes. Ensure the maintenance and organization of the kitchen and food service. The role is on-site in Umphrew (Shillong). As a Farm Manager at Chillibreeze, your role will be crucial in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the farm. This role involves strategic planning, decision-making, and coordination to ensure the efficient functioning of the farm. It also involves a hands-on approach to work.
