We are hiring for the role of Field Service Engineer To conduct electrical tests and supervise overhauling of Medium and High Voltage Rotating Machines (like big size industrial electrical motors and alternators). This requires that the engineer along with his team and equipment travel to customer sites (all over India and sometimes abroad) a. follow customer protocols for safety, gate-pass for team and material b. interact with customer to explain the requirements based on scope of work c. make safety assessment of the site, arrange for work permits, wear PPE as per job requirement. d. conduct the job activities following the Standard Operating Procedures e. arrange for wrapping up after work completion f. explain some results, observations, key findings to customer g. prepare Minutes of Meeting listing the scope completion as per work order and getting signatures of customers on safety documents, test results, MoM. h. arrange for safe return of self, team and material. The site jobs can be from 2 days to 14 days (most of the time). Seldom some ARC jobs can be extended for a few months, where the engineer will be stationed at the location (for 3 to 6 months, with few breaks).. Sometimes, post completion the team can return back to site/home. Sometimes, they need to mobilize to another site directly after completion of first site. Job Location: The nature of the job is that the engineer will be at customer industrial sites (all over India and sometimes outside India). So when there is no site work For Mumbai, Navi-Mumbai candidates, the job location is a. Panvel (Navi-Mumbai) For candidates outside of Mumbai, Navi-Mumbai b. Work from home. (if a site comes, they can move to site directly. After work completion, return back home, if there are no sites immediately after) Job Skills: For this activity, require following a. Good knowledge of HT Motors and Generators and Basic Electrical Engineering i. Construction (Stator, Rotor) ii. Working principle Induction Motor, Synchronous machine iii. Instrumentation like resistance measurement, Schering bridge etc. iv. Understanding circuits, power line diagrams, switchgear, CT/PT b. Team skills to work with technicians, colleagues c. Communication skills – English, Hindi to be able to develop good relationships with customers, to be able to email. d. Like travel. Work requires travelling all over India – different states using bus/train/flight and being at a location for 3 to 45 days (usually 15-20 days a month). e. Strong, positive personality and confidence attitude. Training will be given – In addition to theoretical training, practically on site training by observing Sr. Engineers/technicians for the technical scope, safety and environmental aspects. Job Experience: a. High preference for candidates with 2 or more years of experience in electrical testing at sites b. Preference for candidates with 1 or 2 years of experience in electrical testing at sites or workshop c. Freshers (but with good subject knowledge) Job Selection: a.
