Vitamin D intervention trial during pregnancy. The pregnant women attending the OPD at St John s medical college hospital will receive 2 different dosage of Vitamin D supplement. To evaluate whether a daily supplement of an effective dose of 2000 IU/d vitamin D3 reduces the incidence of preterm births when compared to the pregnant women supplemented with the standard care 500 IU/d vitamin D3. They will be followed up during pregnancy for outcome measure such as preterm.
