Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Finance & Business Finance to lead our financial strategy, drive business growth, and ensure financial health across the organization. This role will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial decision-making, working closely with leadership to optimize business performance and profitability. Functional Skills & Experience Required: - Proven ability to lead the finance function and manage a high-performing team. - Strong domain expertise in accounting, taxation, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. - Deep knowledge of accounting systems, internal controls, and financial governance. - Strong analytical skills to understand business and cost drivers, interpret financial data, and provide strategic insights. - Experience in investor relations, including reviewing operational and financial performance. - Ability to collaborate with promoters on fundraising initiatives, ensuring financial readiness and strategic alignment. - Expertise in managing and overseeing third-party service providers, ensuring compliance and quality deliverables. Job Responsibilities: - Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead end-to-end FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, cost management, and decision support for business functions. Drive annual operating plans, strategic financial planning for fundraising, and profitability analysis. - Controllership & Compliance: Oversee accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, statutory audits, and internal controls, ensuring timely financial closures and regulatory adherence. - Business & Cost Optimization: Provide key financial insights, analyze business drivers, and drive cost rationalization initiatives for better P&L management. - Treasury & Fundraising: Manage banking operations, working capital requirements, and partner with leadership on pre/post-fundraising activities. - Team Leadership & Systems: Build and mentor the finance team, oversee third-party service providers, and implement/maintain financial systems for operational efficiency. Preferred Qualifications: - Qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum of 8 years of post-qualification - Experience in industries such as Retail, E-commerce, and FMCG - Prior experience in fundraising, M&A, or investor relations.
