As the Finance Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of ImpactGuru, ensuring compliance, and managing accounting, reporting, and budgeting functions. The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, optimizing financial processes, and supporting the organization's growth by maintaining financial integrity and transparency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Reporting and Analysis • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Analyze financial results and provide insights on performance, variances, and trends to the leadership team. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. • Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors as required. 2. Budgeting and Forecasting • Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to prepare accurate and realistic forecasts. • Monitor and review actual performance against budget, analyzing discrepancies and recommending corrective actions. • Provide strategic financial guidance to ensure long-term sustainability and profitability. 3. Cash Flow and Treasury Management • Monitor the organization’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic initiatives. • Oversee treasury operations, including management of banking relationships, credit facilities, and investments. • Optimize working capital and manage financial risks associated with cash flow and capital requirements. 4. Financial Controls and Compliance • Design, implement, and enforce financial control policies and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data. • Ensure adherence to tax regulations and other legal requirements, and manage timely and accurate filing of returns. • Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify potential financial risks or inefficiencies. 5. Team Leadership and Development • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, ensuring continuous learning and professional growth. • Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting department. • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. 6. Strategic Support and Advisory • Collaborate with the executive team to provide financial insights and guidance on strategic decisions and growth opportunities. • Support fundraising efforts, including managing financial due diligence, investor relations, and preparing financial presentations for potential investors. • Assist in scaling operations, improving financial systems, and driving process improvements. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification preferred. Experience: • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position. • Experience in a startup or fast-growing organization is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and compliance requirements. Skills: • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. • Excellent proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Tally, ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills. • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, issues, and opportunities. • Strong leadership and team management capabilities. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
