Job Title : General Manager – Safety & Environment Location : Gandhidham, Gujarat Department : Safety & Environment CTC : Up to ₹25 LPA (Negotiable for the right candidate) Experience : Minimum 10 years in Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), preferably in steel or heavy industry Qualification : B.E./B.Tech + ADIS / Diploma in Industrial Safety / Environment Science Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Safety & Environment to lead the organization’s compliance and risk management programs across safety and environmental functions. The ideal candidate will oversee implementation of safety systems, environmental protection measures, and ensure full statutory compliance in line with national and international standards. Key Responsibilities : Safety Management : Lead the development and enforcement of safety policies , procedures, and programs Ensure compliance with OSHA, Factory Act, ISO 45001 and other safety regulations Oversee incident investigations , root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions Conduct HIRA, job safety analysis , and facilitate on-site emergency preparedness Plan and conduct safety trainings, mock drills , and toolbox talks Drive the organization’s safety culture through employee engagement and awareness Environmental Management : Ensure compliance with Environmental Protection Act, GPCB/CPCB regulations, and ISO 14001 Oversee waste management , air/water pollution control, and hazardous material handling Submit E-Patrak, P-Patrak, Form IV & V , and liaise with regulatory authorities for approvals and audits Monitor and report environmental KPIs (stack emissions, ambient air, water discharge, etc.) Lead environmental audits , impact assessments, and sustainable development initiatives Skills & Competencies : In-depth knowledge of EHS laws , audits, and industry best practices Strong leadership and team management abilities Effective communicator with ability to coordinate with regulatory bodies Analytical skills for reporting, compliance documentation, and KPI tracking How to Apply: Email your CV to resume@theactivegroup.in For inquiries, contact us at: Phone: 6358812301 / 9904582301 Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year Schedule: Rotational shift Work Location: In person
