Role & responsibilities Strategic Management: Oversee and optimize import/export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Freight & Shipping: Negotiate and secure the best rates from shipping lines, freight forwarders, and vendors for container, break bulk, bulk, and chartered vessel shipments. Customs & Compliance: Manage customs clearance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and resolving any litigation issues. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, government agencies, and internal stakeholders. Export Benefits & Cost Optimization: Leverage export incentives, duty drawbacks, and other benefits to maximize profitability. Contract & Documentation: Handle large contract management, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with trade policies. Banking Operation : Manage the presentation of necessary documents for necessary inward or outward remittance smoothly. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a large team, ensuring efficient workflow and operational excellence. Preferred candidate profile PGDM / MBA in marketing or logistics Experience 15-25 yrs experience in managing the export & import operation of large manufacturing company. Extensive experience in freight forwarding, shipping line negotiations, and customs clearance . Export Benefits and litigation matters. Strong knowledge of international trade laws, export-import documentation, and vendor management . Proven ability to manage large-scale contracts and optimize cost structures . Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
