Job Description:We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to provide onsite customer support at IISc Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in networking, troubleshooting desktops and printers, and configuring OS & applications while staying updated with the latest industry trends.Location: IISc Bangalore (Client Location) Experience: 3 to 6 years Job Type: Onsite Full-timeKey Responsibilities:Provide onsite IT support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.Troubleshoot hardware & software issues for desktops, laptops, and printers.Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and applications.Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).Provide support for email, cloud services, and enterprise applications.Maintain asset inventory and ensure IT compliance at the client location.Assist users with basic cybersecurity best practices and data security policies.Work closely with IT teams & vendors for hardware replacements and upgrades.Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.Stay updated with emerging IT trends and suggest process improvements.Required Skills & Qualifications: 3 to 6 years of experience in desktop support & IT infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS installations & configurations. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and printers. Good understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP). Experience in supporting Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and other enterprise apps. Knowledge of desktop tools, IT asset management, and ticketing systems. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
