Job Title - Public Infra- Ports Logistics Level:Manager SC GN Management Level:07 - Manager Location:Bangalore/ Gurgaon Must have skills: Experience in the ports, airports, postal, parcel, or logistics sector required Good to have skills: Advanced logistics technologies, including route optimization software, warehouse management systems, network management tools, and data analytics platforms. Job Summary: Lead consulting projects for global clients in the ports, airports and logistics sector, with a focus on network design, last mile optimization, and operational efficiency. Proven capability in leading large-scale projects that encompass a wide range of functional areas, including Finance, Supply Chain, and HR, integrating best practices and regulatory compliance into business processes. Roles Responsibilities: Analyze current logistics and ports, postal operations to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement. Develop and implement strategic recommendations to enhance clients distribution networks, including last-mile delivery solutions, cross-docking, and any existing models. Manage client relationships, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones, and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate digital and technological solutions into logistics operations, such as automation, route optimization, and real-time tracking. Research the latest market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and strategic responses in areas such as Environmental Management, Quality Assurance, and Asset Management. Plan and execute initiatives accordingly to maintain competitive advantage and operational excellence. Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the ports, postal and logistics space. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and proposals for clients, effectively communicating insights, strategies, and results. Mentor and lead junior consultants, providing guidance on project execution and professional development. Professional Technical Skills: Expertise in logistics network design tailored for the shipping industry, including port operations, hub-and-spoke models, asset managment, and comprehensive operations optimization. In-depth understanding of maritime regulations, international shipping protocols, and customs procedures, enhancing compliance and operational efficiency. Expertise in logistics network design, including hub-and-spoke models, last-mile delivery, and operations optimization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence -level stakeholders. Proficiency in logistics and supply chain software tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Additional Information: Extensive experience in managing international projects and working with global clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of diverse cultural and regulatory environments across different countries. Skilled in navigating complex international logistics, including compliance with various international trade laws and regulations. Proven ability to coordinate and lead cross-border teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and communication despite geographical and time zone differences. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in the ports, airports, postal, parcel, or logistics sector required, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or consulting role. Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree or MBA with a focus on logistics, supply chain management, or operations is highly preferred. Additional certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) are advantageous.
