This role is crucial in shaping and executing the L&D strategy to align with organizational goals. The L&D Manager will work closely with various departments to identify training needs, develop content, and implement a comprehensive training plan across various platforms, including in-person, digital, and blended formats.Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:Content Development:1. Design, develop, and update training content, including materials, presentations, and handouts, to ensure relevance, engagement, and alignment with organizational needs and goals.2. Create customized learning modules that reflect company policies, systems, and processes.3. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content for technical or department-specific training.Learning Management System (LMS):1. Manage and administer the companys LMS, ensuring that it is optimized for effective learning delivery and tracking.2. Oversee content uploads, course creation, and reporting within the LMS platform.3. Ensure the LMS is user-friendly, up-to-date, and accessible to all employees.4. Generate and analyze LMS reports to monitor employee engagement, course completions, and performance.5. Troubleshoot and support users with LMS-related issues.Video Creation:1. Develop and produce training videos and other multimedia content (e.g., e-learning modules) for online and hybrid learning experiences.2. Oversee the scripting, filming, and editing of training videos to create engaging and effective learning content.3. Ensure that training videos are consistent with brand standards and instructional design best practices.Training Delivery:1. Deliver engaging training sessions (in-person, virtual, or blended formats) to employees across various levels of the organization.2. Facilitate leadership development, technical skills training, onboarding, and other key training programs.3. Adapt training delivery methods to suit the needs and learning preferences of different audiences.4. Monitor participant engagement and effectiveness of training sessions to ensure continuous improvement.Training Coordination:1. Coordinate logistics for internal and external training programs, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and material preparation.2. Act as the primary point of contact for training inquiries and support.3. Track and report training attendance, ensuring that employees are participating and completing required programs.Management Information Systems (MIS):1. Develop and maintain an effective system for tracking employee learning and development progress.2. Create and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as training completion rates, learning impact, and employee feedback.3. Analyze learning metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs and adjust strategies as needed.Key Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or a related field.Proven experience in Learning and Development, training facilitation, and content creation (3+ years preferred).Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Cornerstone, SuccessFactors).Experience with video creation tools (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or similar).Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights related to employee learning.Experience with instructional design principles and methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, Kirkpatrick).Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.Certification in L&D or project management (e.g., CIPD, CPLP) is a plus.Key Deliverables:Training Content Development:Delivery of at least X number of training materials or e-learning modules per quarter.Development of customized learning content based on departmental needs and goalsLMS Administration & Reporting:Timely update and maintenance of the LMS with the latest training content.Monthly or quarterly LMS reports to track course completions, feedback, and engagement.Video Creation:Production of X number of high-quality, engaging training videos per quarter.Videos that are accessible, meet company standards, and support the learning objectives.Training Delivery:Successful delivery of X number of training sessions per quarter, ensuring 90%+ satisfaction ratings from participants.Documentation of training evaluations and feedback to improve future sessions.Coordination and MIS Reporting:Completion of training schedules, attendee lists, and follow-up actions within established deadlines.MIS reports and dashboards produced on time, tracking training completion rates and employee progress.Work Environment:This role typically operates in a professional office environment with the possibility of remote work or virtual training sessions.Some travel may be required for in-person training sessions or workshops.This job description outlines the key duties and qualifications of a Learning and Development Manager focused on content development, LMS management, video creation, training delivery, coordination, and reporting.
