Job Description

The Head - Electrical Product Group at VISL will be responsible for driving growth by expanding our product portfolio within the Electrical category. This role involves identifying new product opportunities, strengthening our existing brand partnerships, and increasing our market share over a 3 to 5-year horizon . The ideal candidate should have a strong Electrical Sales background and be highly collaborative , ensuring alignment with internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Portfolio Expansion: Identify new product categories within the Electrical Product Group that align with VISL s market presence and growth objectives. Evaluate potential suppliers, manufacturers, and brands to expand VISL s product offerings. Develop a strategic roadmap for new product introductions and category expansions. 2. Brand & Supplier Management: Work closely with our current brand partners to enhance their market presence within VISL s distribution network. Develop collaborative strategies to increase sales and visibility of these brands across key customer segments and Regions. Strengthen relationships with existing and new suppliers to drive product availability and competitiveness. 3. Market Share & Business Growth: Develop and execute strategies to increase VISL s overall market share in the Electrical Product Group. Identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and competitor movements to drive business growth. Work with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of product launches and promotions . 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales teams to align on market demands, pricing strategies, and customer needs. Work closely with procurement, inventory, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and optimal stock levels. Engage with marketing teams to develop strategies for product positioning and customer outreach. 5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Set and monitor KPIs for product performance, revenue growth, and market penetration . Regularly review sales data, market feedback, and competitive analysis to refine strategies. Provide periodic reports and insights to senior leadership on growth opportunities and challenges . 6. Customer centricity : Should visit Key Customers to understand Market Dynamics. Key Requirements: 1. Experience & Skills: 15+ years of experience in Electrical Sales, Product Management, or Business Development . Strong understanding of electrical product categories , market trends, and industry dynamics. Proven track record of increasing market share and developing product portfolios . Ability to negotiate and build strong relationships with suppliers and brand partners. Should have good finance acumen and negotiation skills 2. Leadership & Collaboration: Must be highly collaborative , able to work across multiple teams and stakeholders. Strong leadership skills with experience in driving cross-functional teams towards common goals. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities . Should believe in continuously training the sales team to improve technical knowhow for Electrical Products. 3. Strategic Thinking & Execution: Ability to develop long-term strategies (3 to 5-year horizon) and execute them effectively. Strong analytical skills to evaluate market data, competitor insights, and business performance . Results-driven with a focus on sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction .
