Job Description

Role Objective The Head HR will be a strategic partner to the leadership team, responsible for evolving and institutionalising Acxioms HR practices, nurturing its cultural DNA, and supporting rapid organizational scale-up. This leader will drive talent strategy, performance management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and ensure fairness, recognition, and personal growth remain core to our identity even as we grow. Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership Partner with the Founder and core leadership team to shape the long-term HR strategy aligned with business goals. Lead the cultural transformation from an informal community-style culture to a scalable, institutionalised organization. Translate Acxioms unique cultural values (fairness, recognition, creative freedom, expression, and growth) into structured systems and policies. Organizational Development & Change Management Analyse the existing cultural fabric and identify its strengths and gaps. Institutionalize key people practices to retain the best of the current culture while supporting scale. Lead initiatives related to organizational design, behavioural change, and leadership development. People Operations & Growth Build and lead the HR team to support expansion to 5001000 employees. Define and implement robust HR processes across talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, L&D, and retention. Develop and enforce fair and transparent HR policies, including recognition and reward frameworks. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Serve as a coach and advisor to senior leadership. Act as the voice of employees and a bridge between staff and leadership. Facilitate open communication channels that reinforce trust and engagement. Candidate Profile Must-Have Qualifications & Experience 10-15 years of progressive HR experience, including minimum 10 years in a single organization. MA in Psychology or a strong background in behavioural sciences/organizational psychology. Proven track record in organizational transformation and change management. Experience in consulting, Big 4, audit, service, or engineering organizations, preferably serving Indian clients. Demonstrated ability to lead HR in a scaling environment (e.g., from 100 to 500+ employees). Strong individual contributor who can also build and scale an HR team. Preferred Attributes Exposure to cultural transitions in small to mid-sized organizations. Experience in setting up new functions, business units, or geographies. Passion for institutionalising fairness, recognition, creative freedom, and self-actualisation. Clear communicator with high empathy and emotional intelligence. Not Preferred Candidates with primary experience in outsourcing/dollar-arbitrage organizations.
