Head of Quality Assurance

Job Description

Job Title: Head - QA CoEE Reports to: ED Manufacturing Band/Level: DGM Location: Joka, Kolkata Purpose of the Job: Set up and lead the Quality Assurance Center of Excellence for all products of CPIL. Principal Accountabilities: Financial Ensure that the set quality standards and norms result better financial performance by reducing the rejection rates and improving the product quality grades. Strategy Accountable for design and implementation of a set of quality standards that lead to consistency, repeatability and predictability thereby resulting in improvements in product quality. Process and Product Quality : Develop cost effective and implementable process control mechanisms and solutions leading to process and product improvements. Establish quality assurance systems across all facilities. Develop and implement preventive quality measures and reduce dependence on end-product inspection. Establish quality checkpoints throughout the production processes to meet desired specifications and create continuous feedback loops for continuous improvement. Collaborate with all plants to implement newly defined or redefined process to deliver high-quality products on schedule. Work with the R&D team throughout the product's lifecycle to identify and resolve issues. Standards and Certification : Acquire and maintain relevant national and international certifications including TQM, ISO and BIS. Develop compliance frameworks for global quality standards. Develop and create a QMS and supporting documentation systems for quality assurance. Establish audit-ready processes. Market Intelligence Establish systematic competitor product analysis and develop quality benchmarking systems Create frameworks for customer feedback integration. Build market-driven quality improvement processes Generate actionable quality insights for product development Improve product quality based on market and customer feedback by providing suitable solutions that improve profitability. Culture Refine and align the employees to the Company's Vision, Mission and Values. Put in place initiatives and programs that help employees to take ownership of what they do. Organization Building Ensure that the organization structure is optimized, key positions are staffed, succession plans for self and -1 positions are put in place and individuals identified. Attracting and retaining talent. Weekly and Monthly Review Meetings for the QA CoEE. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills : Degree in Engineering coupled with diploma or certification in quality management. 15 years experience focused on Quality Assurance in building materials industry. Deep understanding and insights of the building materials industry. KRAs/KPIs 1. Process Improvements 2. Product quality improvements 3. Quality Systems 4. Profitability 5.
