Position: Head Regional Sales (API - Pharmaceutical) Experience: 15+ Years Job Location: Hyderabad - Work from Office Role Summary: The role is responsible for driving sales growth and managing key accounts within the assigned region. This role plays a crucial part in executing regional sales strategies, expanding presence, and fostering long-term relationships with clients. The candidate will lead the development of multi-year account plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while optimizing sales processes. Job Requirements: Educational Qualification: ▪ Graduate or postgraduate degree in life sciences related field ▪ Post graduate or Diploma in Sales or Business Management preferred Relevant Experience: ▪ 15+ years of experience in BD & sales, with 5-7 years as the Regional sales Head. Preference for candidates with Pharmaceutical industry experience. ▪ Proven track record of successfully managing various accounts. ▪ Hands-on experience working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives. Knowledge/ Technical Skills: ▪ Familiarity with the global pharmaceutical landscape. ▪ In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, including market trends, competitors, and regulatory environment. ▪ Familiarity with CRM tools and data-driven sales methodologies ▪ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. ▪ Strong negotiation skills & diplomacy ▪ Cross Cultural intelligence ▪ Extremely Fluent in English ▪ Preferred : Proficiency in multiple foreign languages. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy Planning & Market Expansion ▪ Design and execute regional sales strategies to strengthen existing in-market presence. ▪ Conduct in-depth market research to identify new opportunities & develop plan to tap the region. ▪ Build a detailed competitor intelligence framework to refine product positioning. 2. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management ▪ Lead the development of multi-year account plans for assigned region, focusing on long-term strategic partnerships and revenue generation. ▪ Cultivate and maintain strong relations with key decision-makers in target accounts to drive sales. ▪ Connect with potential clients, carrying out negotiations, & closing deals with mutually beneficial terms. ▪ Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, anticipating their needs and ensuring exceptional levels of satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. ▪ Oversee strategic key accounts and proactively identify opportunities for up-selling. 3. Process Optimization ▪ Develop and implement best-in-class sales processes and analytics capabilities. ▪ Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback for continuous improvement. ▪ Track sales performance metrics, analyse data, and provide insights to senior management. 4. Team Management ▪ Lead, mentor, motivate and develop a high-performing Sales team. ▪ Foster a collaborative result-driven culture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. 5. Execution Excellence ▪ Excellent analytical abilities, with a track record of meeting targets under tight deadlines. ▪ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build to build & maintain lasting relations. ▪ Adept at communicating key messages clearly & effectively to cross-functional teams.
