Key Responsibilities : Microscopic Examination : Analyze tissue specimens to identify and diagnose diseases, including cancers, infections, and other abnormalities. Diagnostic Reporting : Prepare detailed pathology reports for healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication of findings. Immunohistochemistry : Utilize advanced techniques to detect specific antigens in tissue samples, aiding in precise diagnosis. Molecular Pathology : Employ molecular testing to investigate and confirm diagnoses, enhancing diagnostic accuracy. Clinical Collaboration : Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists, to discuss and analyze patient cases, provide expert advice, and participate in treatment planning. Quality Assurance : Ensure adherence to laboratory safety and quality control standards, maintaining high diagnostic accuracy. Research and Development : Engage in research activities to advance the field of histopathology and develop new diagnostic methods. Education and Training : Mentor and train medical students, residents, and laboratory staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
