Location: Pune, Bangalore & Chennai Experience: 10+ years Shift: NAM (5 PM to 2AM) Primary Skills: JBOSS Administration, Jboss EAP, Jboss EWS, Jboss JWS, Scripting & Subject Matter Expert. Job Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The primary function of the Application Administrator is to implement, maintain, monitor, and support production and non-production application landscapes hosted in the data center Administer and support customer n-tier applications Proactively manage and maintain web servers & application servers Alert customer with up to date security patch updates Release maintenance and management Adherence to change management process 24x7 application availability support and incident management Present technical findings from incidents to customers and management, including future recommendations Assist in defining engineering standards and ensuring standards are executed within the environment Keep support documents up-to-date Proactively identify and automate the routine tasks or hand over to operations Implement customer projects on time Disaster Recovery support Capacity planning Performance tuning Jboss Application Server Install, configure, and maintain JBoss EAP 4.x/5.x/6.x, JBoss EWS software on Sun Solaris and Redhat Linux. Install, configure, and maintain JBoss Operations Network (JON). Install, configure, and maintain Apache web server. Knowledge and experience with Unix/Perl scripting Familiarity with networking devices, protocols (TCP/IP) and corresponding access-related problems is a plus. Strong knowledge of Solaris and Linux operating system environment Knowledge of LDAP configuration, load balancing etc. Tune JBoss parameters for optimal system performance Experience in SSL configurations and understanding e.g key-store, certificates etc. JBoss Certification and/or equivalent experience. Perform Version upgrade Having WAS, IHS, and MQ as additional skills prefer.
