Role: Holidays Operations - Europe Level: Senior Executive/Assistant Manager Reporting To: Manager - Holidays Operations Location: Gurgaon About the Function The Holiday Operations Department at MakeMyTrip oversees the seamless execution of holiday-related operations, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience for customers. Catering to diverse traveler segments across the globe, this business offers both customized and fixed departure holiday packages. While dynamic packages allow travelers to personalize their itineraries, fixed departure packages provide meticulously curated travel plans. The holiday operations team plays a pivotal role in managing every critical aspect of holiday planning, delivering a smooth, enjoyable, and memorable experience for customers. About the Role The incumbent will be responsible for holiday operations which involves a meticulous understanding of product offerings, supplier terms, and contractual details, as well as maintaining precise booking records. It requires comprehensive knowledge of European destinations and itineraries, proficiency in tools like Rail Europe, and effective coordination with sales channels for seamless booking processes, including email management and service recovery on tour. Additionally, the role entails updating cost elements in internal software and liaising with the Finance team for timely vendor payments. What will you be doing Maintaining booking details meticulously in the prescribed database, demonstrating extreme precision and attention to detail. Exhibiting in-depth knowledge of the European market, including destinations and itineraries, with a particular emphasis on familiarity with Rail Europe tools and itineraries. Gaining a comprehensive understanding of product offerings, supplier requirements, and contractual terms, ensuring accurate product costing and rates. Collaborating with sales channels, ensuring effective coordination and timely follow-ups to address any pending bookings or queries. Managing email correspondence for the assigned destination, updating all relevant trackers, and handling the preparation of rooming forecasts as per contract requirements. Qualification & Experience A graduate from a reputed institute with 4 to 6 years of experience in the travel industry . Proficient in MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration. Demonstrated analytical capabilities for informed decision-making. Proficient in facilitation, program, and project management skills. Qualification & Experience Expertise in Rail Europe Tools & Itineraries Leverage knowledge of Rail Europe systems to enhance operational efficiency. Strong Communication & Coordination – Effectively liaise with sales channels, tour managers, and vendors for seamless operations. Proactive Problem-Solving – Address on-ground challenges promptly and implement service recovery measures to ensure customer satisfaction. Financial Accuracy & Vendor Collaboration – Maintain precise cost records in internal software and coordinate with Finance for timely vendor payments. Detail-Oriented Execution – Ensure accuracy in guest vouchers, database records, and overall operational processes for smooth holiday management.
