Job Description: Hostel Warden ( Female) at HIMT College, Kalpakkam Position Overview: HIMT College, a distinguished maritime training institute situated in Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu, is seeking dedicated and responsible Hostel Wardens (Male & Female) to ensure the well-being and safety of our students residing in the hostel. Key Responsibilities: Hostel Supervision: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for students. Monitor hostel facilities, including rooms, common areas, and recreational spaces, to maintain hygiene and functionality. Enforce hostel rules and regulations to ensure a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere. Student Support: Act as a point of contact and support for hostel residents, addressing their concerns and needs promptly and professionally. Foster a sense of community among students, promoting mutual respect and cooperation. Provide guidance and assistance to students when necessary. Security and Safety: Ensure the safety and security of students by implementing and enforcing security protocols. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards or issues. Respond to emergencies and incidents within the hostel premises. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of hostel residents, including check-in/check-out procedures and attendance. Manage hostel inventory, including bedding, furniture, and supplies. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate authorities. Communication: Communicate effectively with college management, faculty, and staff to address student-related matters and maintain a harmonious living environment. Facilitate communication between students and their families when necessary. Qualifications and Requirements: Previous experience in hostel management or a similar role is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and a sense of responsibility. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A compassionate and patient demeanor when dealing with students. Physical fitness and the ability to perform regular hostel inspections. No specific maritime or defense experience required; individuals with relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Accommodation: A room will be provided as accommodation within the hostel premises. Salary Range: The salary for this position ranges from 20,000 to 30,000 INR per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
