Job Title: Housekeeping Attendant / Housekeeper Department: Housekeeping Location: Hotel Alankar Pvt Ltd - Ooty Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Manager Job Summary: The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort in guest rooms and public areas to ensure a pleasant guest experience. The role involves attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas daily. Change linens, make beds, and replace used amenities. Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, and disinfect surfaces. Replenish room supplies (e.g., water, toiletries, towels). Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor. Follow hotel policies and hygiene standards at all times. Ensure guest requests are handled promptly and politely. Handle guest belongings with care and respect privacy. Maintain housekeeping equipment and inform the supervisor of any damage or issues. Support in laundry services if required. Adhere to time schedules and cleaning checklists. Qualifications and Skills: Previous housekeeping experience in hotels or hospitality is preferred. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Good physical stamina and ability to stand/walk for long periods. Attention to detail and good organizational skills. Friendly and respectful attitude. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
