Job Description

Job description We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Administrator to work closely with the UK People Team from our new office in Mumbai to develop the people team s presence in India. This role will encompass a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment administration and compliance with Indian labour laws. Responsibilities Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees in India regarding HR policies, procedures, and enquiries. Address employee topics and questions in a timely and professional manner. Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Indian Law and HR Practices: Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian labour laws and regulations. Stay updated on changes in employment law and HR best practices in India. Recruitment Administration: Assist with the administrative aspects of the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating with candidates, and updating recruitment tracking systems (e.g. Monday.com). Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience. Assist with contracts for new employees. HR Queries and Support: Provide timely and accurate responses to employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures. Handle day-to-day HR queries efficiently. Maintain and update employee records. Handle general HR administrative tasks. Requirements Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in HR generalist or related roles, with a strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Google product suites. Experience with recruitment administration and onboarding. Experience handling employee contracts. Must be based in Mumbai.
