Job Description

Overview The HR Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources department's functions and initiatives. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, and administrative tasks. The intern will assist the HR team in creating a positive workplace environment while gaining insights into HR practices and principles that drive employee engagement and organizational success. The HR intern helps ensure that HR operations run smoothly, supporting various projects and contributing to a culture that aligns with the company's values and goals. Key Responsibilities Assist in the recruitment process by screening resumes and scheduling interviews. Conduct initial phone screenings and coordinate interview logistics. Help administer employee onboarding and orientation programs. Support HR team in maintaining employee records and databases. Participate in job fairs and recruitment events. Assist in organizing employee engagement activities and events. Compile reports and presentations on HR metrics and initiatives. Provide administrative support for performance management processes. Research best practices in HR policies and programs. Help with employee benefits administration and queries. Assist in developing and updating HR documentation and policies. Engage with employees to address HR-related inquiries and concerns. Support training and development initiatives as needed. Participate in projects tied to employee retention and satisfaction. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information. Required Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor. Keen attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with HRIS or recruitment software is a plus. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Basic understanding of HR principles and practices. Strong problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Previous internship or work experience in HR is desirable. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Availability for part-time or full-time internship hours.
