Job Title: Human Resources Manager Department: Human Resources Reports To: General Manager Location: Jaipur Job Summary The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the human resources function within the hotel/resort. This includes talent acquisition, employee Relations, Compensation And Benefits, Training And Development, Performance Management, HR policy development and implementation, and ensuring compliance with all labor laws and regulations. The HR Manager acts as a strategic partner to the General Manager and department heads, fostering a positive work environment, promoting employee engagement, and supporting the achievement of the hotel's business objectives through its people. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent for all hotel positions. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: job posting, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offer letters, and onboarding. Conduct thorough onboarding programs to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the hotel culture and understand policies and procedures. Build and maintain relationships with local colleges, universities, and hospitality schools for talent pipeline development. Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing guidance and resolution. Mediate and resolve employee disputes, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures. Conduct investigations into employee misconduct, harassment, or other sensitive issues, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity. Promote a positive work environment, fostering open communication and employee engagement. Develop and implement employee recognition and retention programs. Compensation & Benefits: Administer the hotel's compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing, salary reviews, incentives, and employee welfare schemes. Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation structures. Manage employee insurance, provident fund, and other statutory compliance benefits. Communicate benefits information clearly to employees. Training & Development: Identify training needs across departments and develop comprehensive training plans. Coordinate and facilitate various training programs (e.g., hospitality skills, customer service, leadership development, compliance training). Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, regular feedback, and annual appraisals. HR Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in alignment with corporate guidelines (if applicable) and local labor laws (e.g., Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act). Ensure strict compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation. Handle statutory audits and inspections related to HR. Performance Management: Implement and manage the hotel's performance appraisal system. Provide guidance to managers on performance coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary procedures. Support department heads in managing employee performance effectively. Strategic HR & Reporting: Contribute to the hotel's strategic planning by providing insights on human capital. Prepare regular HR reports, including headcount, turnover, recruitment metrics, and training effectiveness. Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions to management. Manage the HR budget effectively. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA in HR) or professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is highly preferred. Experience Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in an HR Manager role, preferably within the hospitality industry (hotels or resorts). Demonstrated experience in managing the full HR lifecycle. Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and regulations is essential. Skills Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation skills. In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and industry trends. Proficiency in IDS, Opera and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team. Fluency in English and [Local Language, e.g., Hindi, Rajasthani] is highly desirable.
