Import FCL Sales Manager Job Summary: The Import FCL Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth in the import full container load (FCL) business by acquiring new customers, expanding existing accounts, and securing competitive rates from shipping lines. The role demands a deep understanding of international trade, freight pricing, and supply chain solutions to generate revenue of at least 3 times their CTC. Key Responsibilities: Revenue Generation & Business Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets by generating a minimum revenue of 3x their CTC from import FCL shipments. Identify and target importers, manufacturers, traders, and freight brokers needing FCL services. Develop a strong sales pipeline by prospecting, cold calling, and leveraging industry contacts. Maintain and grow relationships with large-volume importers to ensure recurring business. Work closely with pricing teams to ensure competitive and profitable rate offerings. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Build a strong customer portfolio by onboarding at least 3 to 5 high-volume import clients per quarter. Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and business negotiations to strengthen partnerships. Identify industry trends and client needs to offer customized freight solutions. Coordinate with overseas agents, customs brokers, and internal teams for seamless service delivery. Operational & Financial Responsibilities: Ensure healthy profit margins on every deal while maintaining competitive pricing. Track customer shipments and proactively resolve any operational or documentation issues. Provide weekly/monthly reports on sales performance, revenue forecasts, and client activity. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding sales (import FCL). Proven ability to generate revenue 3 times their CTC. Strong network with shipping lines, importers, and industry players. Excellent negotiation, business development, and relationship management skills. Understanding of customs regulations, shipping documentation, and global trade laws.
