About the Team The Transportation team in India is a part of the larger team that operates in Mooresville. We support our Mooresville team on various operational as well as reporting and project related activities. Our operations span across, Freight Pay, System Maintenance and Exception Management. We develop and support reporting for Purchase Orders, Carriers and 3PLs operating our DCC buildings. We also work on projects such as Utilization, Forecasting and Transportation Modeling. The primary purpose of this role is to help Lowe s become more efficient at managing our Transportation Operations and serving our internal customers by facilitating a center of excellence for freight pay, system maintenance and exception management activities. In this role, you will own and execute mid to high complex BAU processes. Utilize the business context and functional acumen you have built, to drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies in the current operations and designing solutions under the guidance of TL or Sr. Analyst. You will also drive low complex projects/ad-hoc requests on your own and collaborate with Sr. Analysts or TL on mid to high complex projects/ad-hoc requests that result in cost savings or service improvement. You are expected to follow all the industry best practices and deliver high standards of quality, timeliness and efficiency. Analyze and report accurate results; and identify meaningful insights that directly support decision making. In addition, you will also support the team with process trainings within the team and aim to position yourself as the Subject Matter Expert in all the processes and projects you own. To be successful, the individual in this role must build and apply strong understanding of supply chain domain knowledge. It would be an added advantage if the candidate is technically oriented. Roles & Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities: Understands and executes all the mid to high complex Freight Pay, System Maintenance & Exception Management activities both in import and domestic transportation. Constantly keeps the leadership and stakeholders updated on the daily deliverables and meets all the deliverables with high standards of quality and timeliness. Collaborate with Sr. Analysts to transition new processes to the team and train fellow Analysts and Associate Analysts on those new processes Utilize the business context and domain knowledge of supply chain and transportation to improve/optimize the existing operations to realize benefits in costs or time. Lead low complex projects/ad-hoc requests Collaborate with Sr. Analysts or TL to drive mid to high complex projects/ad-hoc requests. Communicates to leadership and stakeholders on a consistent basis regarding operational activities and holds themselves accountable to achieve 100% quality and timeliness. Leads low complex operational efficiency measures being undertaken within the team Leverage your technical & analytical skills to perform low to mid complex analytical and project work ultimately ensuring a high quality deliverable that provides impactful as well as actionable insights. Maintains consistency in analytical and project best practices by brainstorming and partnering with other areas within the broader organization of Supply Chain. Tracks measures of success and develops dashboards and reports that measure key performance indicators driving actionable insights. Offers insight and recommendations based on the data analysis Participate in training/mentoring new associate analysts in the team Holds associate analysts accountable in their operational activities Acts as process captain and be responsible for training, documenting and maintaining the SLA & Quality metrics for your process. Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Related Field MBA or Master s Degree in Supply Chain Skill Set Required Moderately skilled in SQL Moderately skilled in data gathering and visualization tools such as PoweBI Basics of python Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to develop project presentation and documentation for management consumption Working knowledge of transportation operations Moderate problem-solving skills Excellent time management skills Secondary Skills (desired) Any modeling experience in JDA Transportation Modeler. Ability to identify and drive cost savings opportunities without support. Ability to identify and drive operational efficiencies without support. Ability to drive strategic initiatives without support.
