Role Overview At NeST Digital, we foster a dynamic environment where professionals can learn, grow, and innovate. We're currently seeking talented PLC developers to join programs driven by our Smart Technology Center in Trivandrum - to design and develop mission critical applications for the industrial manufacturing domain. This role involves writing efficient logic code, integrating systems, and ensuring the optimal performance of machines. The PLC Programmer will collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, implement system improvements, and enhance automation efficiency. Their expertise is vital to improving production output and ensuring the reliability of automated systems. Responsibilities: ▪ Design and develop PLC, HMI programs for new Semi-Automatic systems ▪ Understand and maintain PLC, HMI programs of existing systems and implement enhancements ▪ Collaborate with Manufacturing and Mechanical/Electrical engineering, Components sourcing teams to identify new PLC components, Do PoC’s as part of it ▪ Provide training and support to staff on PLC systems and functionalities ▪ Create comprehensive documentation, including wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and I/O configurations, to support ongoing system management and troubleshooting. ▪ Travel to Contract Manufacturing site for installation and handover of systems Experience: ▪ At least 3-10 yrs years of Industry experience in PLC and HMI programming ▪ Experience in designing and integrating third party systems through interfaces and APIs Technical skills: • Strong proficiency in PLC programming, particularly with Delta, Mitsubishi, Omron, Keyence, Allen-Bradley, Beckoff or Schneider systems. • Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block, etc.) and HMI design • Experience with real-time system debugging, control loop tuning, and signal processing. • In-depth understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP). • Ability to design and implement complex control architectures involving multiple PLCs, sensors, and actuators. • Experience integrating PLCs with robotics, motion control, and advanced HMI systems. • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic control systems. • Knowledge of industry standards, such as IEC 61131-3, for PLC programming. • Any Certification in industrial automation or control systems Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering , Automation, Mechatronics Work location: Kochi/Kalamassery NeST Hitech Park (Work from Office) Domain – Industrial – Hitech machinery Assembly and Test in Production lines Show more Show less
