Job Description

Role & responsibilities As an Internal Auditor, you will play a vital role in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management processes, and governance mechanisms. You will work closely with various departments across the organization to conduct audits, identify areas for improvement, and provide valuable recommendations to management. Key Responsibilities : Conduct comprehensive audits of internal processes, controls, and procedures to assess their effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Develop audit plans and programs based on risk assessments, ensuring thorough coverage of key areas and processes. Perform testing and evaluation of controls to identify weaknesses, deficiencies, or areas of non-compliance. Document audit findings, including root causes and impact analysis, and prepare clear, concise, and actionable audit reports for management review. Collaborate with management to develop and implement remediation plans to address identified issues and strengthen internal controls. Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues. Provide guidance and support to other members of the internal audit team, as needed, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the audit function. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in accounting. CA or other relevant professional certification preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in internal auditing, external auditing, risk management in Shipping and Logistics industry. Strong understanding of internal control concepts, risk assessment methodologies, and audit techniques. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues, assess root causes, and develop practical recommendations. Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
