Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory. Monitor inventory levels, track stock movement, and identify discrepancies, variances, or potential issues. Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to forecast inventory needs and establish inventory targets. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess inventory accuracy and identify improvement opportunities. Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, costs, and performance metrics. Analyze inventory data and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations to management on inventory control and purchasing decisions. Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing processes to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Proven experience as a Purchasing or Inventory Control Manager , preferably in manufacturing, retail, or distribution industries. Strong analytical skills to assess inventory trends, costs, and opportunities for optimization. Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage vendor relationships and internal stakeholders. Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory control techniques, and purchasing best practices. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve inventory-related challenges. Understanding of financial principles and cost analysis for effective purchasing decisions.
