Job Description

To ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the patient care services department To coordinate and ensure smoothly/sensible admission process in case of an IP/ICU of patient is carried without delay or discomfort To brief the patient and attendant on need basis about services and facilities available in wards To ensure timely discharge process. Shall go around from time to time and represent the in-patients in the wards / Floor and interact the floor coordinators and carry out proactive measures to achieve zero error in patient requirement. Supervisory work: All the staff as per duty roaster attended for the duty. Supervising the work of the executives, any doubts regarding OP Registration and billing to clarify. If counters are busy sharing the work, counseling the patients. In absence of Manager, attending for internal meetings and other co -ordination work with other departments. Training: Taking care of On the job Training’ in IPD Operations To carry out any other task assigned by higher authority. Deal with & handle grievance, problems & complaints of patients / Attendants and initiate corrective action & follow up as appropriate with information. To ensure that discharge summary is handed over to the patient by the Concerned at the time of discharge of the patient. Where this is not possible (except in the case of insurance patient) to ensure that the patient leaves the hospital with a valid discharge note. To analyze the patient feed-back forms and take/suggest preventive / corrective action from time to time. To facilitate in accreditation implementation process(NABH,JCI) Ensure proper coordination within the department and inter departmental Report all the incidents Train all employees of Billing Attend training and development programs Provides on job training to staff Gives general orientation to new joiners Attends meetings Maintains discipline and punctuality Performs other related duties Reports all relevant issues Other assignments at the discretion of HOD
