Job ID: 40107 | Location: Airoli, Maharashtra, India The IT Business Applications Specialist is responsible for translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications within the designated Sub-Domain. This role ensures the successful delivery and support of global IT business application services, encompassing consulting, project execution, and ongoing maintenance. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Data Management: Configure data points/tags and ensure data integrity and consistency. Cybersecurity: Implement security controls for data historian systems. Manage user access and maintain compliance with security policies. Reporting & Visualization: Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using relevant tools. IT Infrastructure: Networking: Understanding of protocols, configurations, and firewall setup. Server Management: Experience with Windows Server and virtualization tools (VMware, Hyper-V). Database: Proficiency in SQL Server administration, backup, and recovery. Cloud: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and data storage solutions. System Integration: Integrate PI System with enterprise applications. Knowledge of APIs and web services for seamless data flow. Requirements At least a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology with 3 years of relevant work experience. Technical Expertise in Data Management: Hands-on experience configuring data points/tags within historian systems (e.g., PI System). Strong understanding of data integrity, consistency, and validation techniques. Cybersecurity Knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in industrial or enterprise systems. Experience managing user roles, access controls, and compliance with IT security policies. Reporting & Visualization Skills: Proficiency in using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, PI Vision, Tableau). Ability to design dashboards and generate analytical reports for stakeholders. Solid IT Infrastructure Background: Networking: Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP), routing, and firewall configurations. Server Management: Experience in Windows Server environments; knowledge of virtualization tools like VMware or Hyper-V. Database Management: Skilled in SQL Server administration, including performance tuning, backup, and disaster recovery. Cloud & Hybrid Systems Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS. Understanding of cloud-based storage and data processing solutions. System Integration Proficiency: Ability to integrate historian/data systems (like OSIsoft PI) with ERP, SCADA, or MES platforms. Experience working with APIs, RESTful web services, and data pipelines. Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex data or infrastructure issues.
