Job Description: Role Overview : Design, develop, and execute automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of backend systems and APIs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for backend systems and APIs. Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test requirements and create test plans. Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Monitor and report on test automation results and metrics. Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test automation. Qualifications: Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in test automation. Proven experience in backend testing and API testing. Skills Needed for Backend Testing: Technical Skills : Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman). Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. Knowledge of database testing and SQL. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential issues. Soft Skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications : ISTQB certification or equivalent. Experience : Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Technical Skills : Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
