IT Support Engineer: Qualification: Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3 years and above Proven experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of IT systems, networking, and security practices. Experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools and methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Skills: Operating Systems: Should have in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, such as Windows, MAC, Ubuntu, SUSE Linux and windows server operating systems. Hardware: Well versed with Desktops/Laptops/Server/Andorid or Iphones or any IT Hardware that connects to a network. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., Virtual box, Hyper-V). Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python). Email Platforms: Office 365 administration including Intune, Security, MDM, Outlook(Mobile/Desktop), Backups etc. and Google Workspace. Networks: In-depth knowledge on LAN, WAN, Intranet, VPN, Firewalls(Fortigate), Switches, Access points etc. Surveillance: CCTV Cameras (Configurations & Troubleshooting). Backups: Experience with Veeam Backups. Database Knowledge: SQL. Job Description: 1. IT Operations Management: Oversee and manage day-to-day IT operations, including servers, networks, and workstations. Ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of IT systems and services. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions. Manage IT incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption. 2. Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, installation, and maintenance. Perform regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery planning. 3. IT Support and Help Desk: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users. Manage the help desk system, ensuring efficient ticket management and resolution. Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals. Prepare knowledge base articles and build a knowledge repository for IT related processes & issues within the organization. 4. Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, installations, and migrations. Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions. Track project progress, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. 5. Security and Compliance: Enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and systems. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. 6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving IT operations and services. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance IT performance. Provide training and support to staff on new technologies and best practices. Work Conditions: IT support engineers work in regular hours, but you might sometimes have to be on call at evenings and weekends to deal with emergency breakdowns. You might sometimes have to work at weekends when businesses are closed, to install/Troubleshoot/Test new or existing computer systems/Networks/Backups etc. You may have to travel to different sites/company factories to carry out work if it can't be completed remotely. You would deal with staff by phone, email and face-to-face. You would have to meet targets for response times to calls and completing the request/IT tickets. Required Skill Set: Office O365 Administration, Networking, IT Infrastructure, Windows Server 2019, 2022, NGFW Firewall, CCTV Configuration, LAN, WAN.
