As a senior engineering leader, you will take complete ownership of end-to-end product features, drive engineering excellence, and guide the team in delivering scalable, high-performance applications built with Java , Spring Boot , and AWS cloud services. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver robust, user-centric products. Lead and own the architecture, design, development, and deployment of mission-critical applications. Participate in and guide code reviews , design discussions , and architecture decisions to ensure high code quality and maintainability. Take ownership of performance, scalability, and security aspects across the backend systems. Define and promote best engineering practices , coding standards, and development processes within the team. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Stay abreast of emerging trends and experiment with modern technologies and tools to improve team productivity and product innovation. Work with DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and robust infrastructure on AWS . Requirements: 8+ years of experience in software development, including substantial hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot . Solid understanding of object-oriented programming , design patterns , and microservices architecture . Proven track record of leading the design and development of scalable backend systems in cloud-based environments (preferably AWS). Proficiency with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation. Deep understanding of data structures , algorithms , and software design principles . Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Experience working in agile development environments with fast release cycles. Prior exposure to startups or high-growth technology companies is a big plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes . Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, or distributed caching systems like Redis.
