Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Backend (Java) Lead with 10-15 years of work experience in product engineering and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed systems and high throughput data pipelines, with proficiency in Java or Kotlin, and a solid understanding of Kafka and Spring Boot. Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure is essential. This role requires outstanding problem-solving, analytical, design, and debugging skills, along with a BE, ME, PhD, or Masters in computer science or a related field. Experience in DevOps and relevant tools is a plus. Roles and Responsibilities:High Throughput Software Development: Build high throughput, low latency software for business-critical processes.Core Platform Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain core pieces of the JAVA/AWS Platform.Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of backend engineers to ensure high-quality code delivery.Feature Development: Oversee end-to-end development of new features and functionality.System Performance Analysis: Analyze and improve system performance and scalability, ensuring efficient use of resources.Code Optimization: Write, review, and optimize code in Java, ensuring the highest standards of performance, quality, and security.Collaboration: Collaborate with customer-facing teams to resolve issues and generate new ideas.Desired Skills:Proficient in Java or Kotlin with strong knowledge of Kafka and Spring Boot.Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.Nice to have: Experience in DevOps and relevant tools.Flexibility & Work-Life Balance: Enjoy remote work options that let you design the work-life balance that works for you.
