Job Description:An OT Assistant/Scrub Tech in spine and joint surgery is responsible for ensuring that the operating room remains sterile and equipped, assisting the surgeon and surgical team during procedures, and providing vital support in spinal and joint surgeries. The role requires attention to detail, an understanding of medical instruments, and the ability to function under pressure.Key Responsibilities:1. Preoperative Duties:Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and ready.Assist in preparing the patient for surgery, including patient positioning and draping to ensure safety and access for the surgeon.Verify the surgical site, patient identification, and procedure details in collaboration with the surgical team.Organize and check surgical tools and implants needed for spine and joint surgeries (e.g., screws, rods, joint prostheses).2.
