Role & responsibilities Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commvault L1 Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing first-level support for Commvault backup solutions and assisting customers with troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to enterprise-level backup systems and grow in the IT infrastructure and support field. Key Responsibilities: Provide first-level technical support for Commvault backup and recovery solutions. Monitor, analyze, and respond to alerts from the Commvault environment. Assist in troubleshooting backup failures, restore issues, and data protection queries. Log and track incidents and service requests through the service management system. Provide clear communication and status updates to customers during issue resolution. Perform basic troubleshooting of Commvault software, storage, and network components. Work closely with senior engineers for complex issue resolution and escalation. Assist in basic configuration, installation, and upgrades of Commvault environments. Ensure proper documentation and knowledge base articles are created and updated. Participate in system maintenance, backups, and data recovery testing. Follow established procedures and best practices for backup and recovery operations. Provide customer training and guidance on the use of Commvault solutions as needed. Required Skills and Qualifications: Basic knowledge of Commvault backup and recovery solutions. Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as storage systems, networking, and servers. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve basic issues in backup and restore operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: Experience with Commvault administration and backup solutions (e.g., Commvault Command Center, Media Agents, etc.). Basic understanding of databases, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments. Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. Location: Mumbai- Thane
