We require sales professionals who can specialize in selling computer hardware and software, as well as IT services. Success in this industry requires advanced knowledge of fundamental IT principles. IT sales professionals have to be able to answer highly technical questions in order to close sales. As the job title suggests, IT sales professionals are employed by companies within the IT industry. This includes companies that sell hardware, such as en user computing devices, servers, storage, networking and other products related to IT infra.As an IT sales professional, you'll usually work with commercial clients, finding the right technological hardware and software products to suit their business needs.The work of an IT sales professional falls into three main areas:pre-sales - giving detailed information about technical specifications and the ways in which they could meet a customer's needssales - negotiating a commercial agreement to the benefit of both the customer and supplierpost-sales (or after-sales) - generate inquiries for AMCs, support services etcResponsibilities as an IT sales professional, you'll need to:speak to customers, either face to face or over the phonegain an understanding of customers' diverse and specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet themensure quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employers' systems and processes, and then documenting themcarry out cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads and arrange meetingsidentify and develop new business through networking and follow-up courtesy callsprepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of software to customersmarket and promote a portfolio of products by writing and designing sales literature and attending industry eventsmaintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and peripherals (e.g. keyboard and mouse)develop effective sales plans using sales methodologyprovide technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the saleadvise on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts such as accounting, manufacturing or other specialist areasnetwork with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgradeshandle hardware or software problems and faults, referring on to specialist technical colleagues where appropriaterespond to tender documents, proposals, reports and supporting literaturemanage workload in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goalscontribute to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.Job Types: Full-time, FresherSchedule:Day shiftSupplemental Pay:Commission payPerformance bonus
