Role & responsibilities Key Account Manager (Client Acquisition) Location: Pune / Mumbai Experience: 3-6 years Industry: Banking/ Insurance Reports To: Chief Business Officer Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Key Account Manager (KAM) with a strong focus on client acquisition. The role primarily involves onboarding large corporates (500 Cr+ turnover) as both suppliers and buyers, strengthening strategic relationships beyond regular MSME operations. Key Responsibilities 1. New Client Acquisition & Business Development Identify, approach, and acquire key clients in the plastics processing and allied sectors. Develop a strong pipeline of potential clients using multiple lead-generation channels (cold calling, networking, digital outreach, industry events). Strategize and execute business development initiatives to penetrate new markets and segments. 2. Sales & Pitching Deliver compelling business presentations and customized proposals tailored to client needs. 3. Relationship Management Build and nurture long-term relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers in target organizations. Serve as a trusted consultant, understanding client challenges and aligning solutions accordingly. 4. Revenue Growth & Performance Management Drive revenue growth by successfully closing high-value deals. Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Product, Finance) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery. 5. Market Research & Strategy Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving client needs to refine acquisition strategies. Provide market insights and recommendations to enhance business positioning. 6. Sales Reporting & CRM Management Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline in CRM tools. Regularly track, analyze, and report performance metrics to the leadership team. Key Skills & Qualifications Proven experience (36 years) in B2B sales, key account management, or client acquisition. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain high-value relationships with corporate clients. Target-driven with a growth mindset and strategic approach to sales. Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and data-driven decision-making.
