The MEP Manager is responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards. This role requires coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality MEP solutions that align with project timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Coordination:Develop and oversee MEP project plans, ensuring seamless integration with overall construction schedules.Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure MEP designs meet project requirements.Review and approve MEP shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.Design & Technical Supervision:Ensure MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained as per industry standards (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, etc.).Conduct technical evaluations of MEP equipment and materials for efficiency and sustainability.Work closely with the procurement team to select and source MEP materials and equipment.Site Management & Execution:Supervise MEP installations at project sites, ensuring compliance with approved designs and specifications.Conduct regular site inspections, resolving MEP-related issues and ensuring adherence to quality standards.Ensure all MEP works comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.Cost & Budget Control:Prepare and monitor MEP budgets, optimizing costs without compromising quality.Approve MEP-related expenditures and ensure adherence to project financial targets.Identify and mitigate cost overruns by implementing value engineering strategies.Team Management & Vendor Coordination:Lead and mentor the MEP team, ensuring effective collaboration across departments.Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of MEP works.Negotiate contracts and agreements with MEP service providers and suppliers.Safety & Compliance:Implement health and safety protocols to minimize risks associated with MEP installations.Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international MEP-related codes and regulations.Conduct regular training and awareness programs on MEP safety and best practices.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelors degree in Electrical.15-20 years of experience in MEP management within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.Preferred Skills:PMP, LEED, or MEP-related certifications.Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy-efficient solutions.Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
