Manager/ Quality Manager - Automation and Panel Manufacturing IndustryJob Summary:The Quality Manager will oversee and manage all quality assurance activities within the automation and panel manufacturing environment. This position requires expertise in managing quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and implementing continuous improvements to meet customer and regulatory requirements. The individual will lead a team of quality inspectors, collaborate with production and engineering teams, and drive quality initiatives within the organization.Key Responsibilities:Quality Control and Inspection:Oversee the quality control process for automation panels, electrical components, and control systems, ensuring all products meet specified quality standards.Develop and update inspection plans, checklists, and testing procedures for incoming materials, in-process materials, and final products.Manage non-conformance issues and initiate corrective actions when necessary.Perform statistical process control (SPC) and other quality-related metrics to monitor product quality levels.Supplier Quality Management:Evaluate and approve suppliers and conduct regular assessments of suppliers quality performance.Develop and implement quality agreements with suppliers, ensuring adherence to specifications, standards, and delivery schedules.Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues and lead initiatives to improve supplier performance.Continuous Improvement:Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes for both internal and customer-related issues.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of the production process using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen.Analyze data to identify areas for quality improvement and implement solutions.Customer and Product Support:Communicate with customers regarding quality concerns, support customer audits, and manage customer complaints or returns.Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to provide technical support and quality-related documentation.Provide input on product design and development to ensure ease of manufacturing and compliance with quality standards.Qualifications and Skills:Education:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.Experience:5+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in automation, control panels, or electrical manufacturing industries.Proven experience in implementing and managing QMS in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for electrical panels and automation systems.Technical Skills:Strong understanding of electrical components, automation systems, and control panel design and manufacturing processes.Proficient in quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, 8D, and corrective actions.Soft Skills:Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
