About the Role We are looking for an experienced L3 Network & System Engineer to manage, configure, and optimize enterprise network and system infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in networking, server administration, automation, virtualization, and scripting . This role also requires leadership skills to guide a small team and ensure smooth IT operations. Key Responsibilities Network & Security Management Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto). Manage VPNs, load balancers, and network security protocols . Monitor and enhance network performance, availability, and security . Server Administration Manage and maintain Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS) . Administer Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL) including security hardening. Perform patch management, backups, and performance tuning . Infrastructure as Code & Automation Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible . Automate system provisioning, configuration, and monitoring. Virtualization & Cloud Manage VMware, KVM, OpenStack , or similar virtualization platforms. Deploy and optimize virtual machines, containers (Docker, Kubernetes) . Scripting & Troubleshooting Develop scripts in Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and monitoring. Troubleshoot complex system and network issues efficiently. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead and mentor a small team of engineers. Ensure proper documentation and best practices are followed. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for IT projects. Incident Management & Escalation: Lead incident management for critical infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for escalation and faster issue resolution. Provide post-incident reviews and documentation of corrective actions. Conducting regular Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions to train and support L1 and L2 team. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Minimum + years in network/system administration. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of networking, firewalls, and security best practices . Strong expertise in Windows & Linux server administration . Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, and automation scripting . Proficiency in VMware, KVM, OpenStack, or similar virtualization platforms . Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl . Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory): CCNP, RHCE, MCSE, AWS/Azure certifications are a plus.
