Job Title: Lab Technician – Plywood Factory Location: Agartala, Tripura Industry: Plywood / Wood Products Manufacturing Experience Required: 3 to 5 Years Gender Preference: Male Candidates Only Salary: ₹25,000 per month Educational Qualification: B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry, Wood Science, or relevant field) OR Post Graduate Diploma from Indian Plywood Industries Research and Training Institute (IPIRTI)Key Responsibilities: Conduct quality testing of raw materials (wood veneers, adhesives, chemicals, etc.) and finished plywood products. Perform mechanical and physical tests such as moisture content, density, bonding strength, and durability. Maintain lab equipment and ensure calibration and proper documentation. Prepare and maintain daily test reports and quality assurance records. Coordinate with production and quality control teams for process improvements. Ensure compliance with BIS standards and other regulatory requirements. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and discipline in the laboratory. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of wood-based product testing. Familiarity with plywood manufacturing processes and standards. Accuracy in testing and reporting. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Good communication and teamwork skills. Working Conditions: Full-time position based in the factory premises. Physically active role; candidates must be comfortable working in a factory lab environment.
