Job Title: Lead Consultant – AS/400Job Description:We are seeking a seasoned Lead Consultant – AS/400 to lead the development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications using IBM AS400 technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in RPG, Synon, CL, COBOL, and SQL, along with a strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain software applications using IBM AS400, Synon, RPG, CL, COBOL, and SQL.Participate in all phases of the SDLC: design, development, integration, testing, implementation, and support.Plan and coordinate software system releases.Perform coding, unit testing, system testing, and integration testing.Collaborate with QA teams during UAT and regression testing cycles.Analyze requirements, provide technical consultation, and propose feasible solutions.Design and develop test plans, test cases, scripts, and documentation.Review and validate functionality documents and technical specifications.Create documentation, flowcharts, layouts, and pseudo code for development activities.Guide and mentor junior team members.Communicate with clients to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements.Review deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with project goals.Work with tools such as Aldon, SDA, and WRKQRY.Upgrade and enhance GUI screens as needed.Write clean, reusable, and efficient code.Provide post-deployment support and maintenance.Required Skills:Proven experience with IBM AS400 platform and development tools (RPG, CL, Synon, COBOL, SQL).Good knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).Proficiency in tools like Aldon, SDA, WRKQRY.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent documentation and client communication skills.Leadership experience and ability to mentor team members. Must-Haves Relevant 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Lead Consultant - AS/400. Utilize IBM AS400, Synon, RPG, CL, COBOL, SQL, Agile, Waterfall to develop software applications. Proficiency in tools like Aldon, SDA, WRKQRY. knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall). IMPORTANT, has a passport-size photo is attached on top of the resume.
