Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled CAM Programming Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team and contribute to the development of AI-driven CAM software solutions. This role requires deep expertise in CNC programming, CAD/CAM software, and machining processes to help shape next-generation automation and digital manufacturing solutions. The Manufacturing Manager will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and machining experts to develop, validate, and optimize AI-powered machining strategies. Additionally, the role involves mentoring teams, improving digital manufacturing workflows, and ensuring that AI-driven solutions align with real-world machining best practices. Role & responsibilities AI-Driven CAM Development: Work alongside the AI/Software team to integrate real-world machining expertise into AI-powered CAM solutions. Toolpath Optimization: Design, validate, and refine toolpaths for milling, turning, and other machining processes using CAD/CAM software like Siemens NX, Mastercam, or CATIA. Process Standardization: Develop best practices and strategies for efficient machining workflows, reducing cycle time, tool wear, and material wastage. Software Validation: Test AI-generated toolpaths and machining strategies against real-world CNC programs to ensure reliability and efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and data scientists to bridge the gap between manufacturing realities and software development. Troubleshooting & Technical Expertise: Assist in resolving complex machining and programming issues, providing real-world insights to enhance AI recommendations. Training & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and train software engineers, CAM developers, and junior manufacturing specialists on CNC programming principles and best practices. Industry Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all CAM methodologies align with industry standards (ISO, AS9100, etc.) and maintain comprehensive documentation of toolpath strategies and machine parameters. Preferred candidate profile Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience). Experience: 10-15 years of hands-on experience in CNC programming & CAM software (Siemens NX, Mastercam, CATIA, or similar). AI & Software Exposure: Experience working with CAM automation, digital manufacturing, or AI-driven machining solutions is a plus. Deep Manufacturing Knowledge: Strong expertise in multi-axis CNC machining, tooling, materials, and G-code programming. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex machining challenges and provide software-driven solutions. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent ability to work with software engineers and AI teams to translate manufacturing knowledge into digital workflows.
