Job Description

Legal Compliance and Documentation: Assist in reviewing and maintaining legal compliance checklists across states. Track and help ensure timely renewal of licenses such as FSSAI, Fire NOC, Shop & Establishment, etc. Support in preparing and organizing documentation required for regulatory inspections and audits. Contract Drafting and Vetting: Draft, review, and summarize commercial contracts, lease deeds, vendor agreements, NDAs, etc. Assist in risk identification and clause vetting under supervision. Licensing and Regulatory Coordination: Aid in streamlining the licensing process for new and existing hostels. Liaise with internal teams for required documents and approvals. Maintain a tracker for license expirations and compliance gaps. Liaison and External Coordination: Assist in communication with local government departments, municipal offices, and legal consultants. Help coordinate site-level permissions and escalations under guidance. ISO Certification Support: Support the legal team in ensuring legal documentation and frameworks align with ISO certification standards. Assist in maintaining records, legal clauses, and internal policies required for audit readiness from a legal perspective. ESG and Quasi-Legal Compliance: Help in identifying legal overlaps with ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) obligations. Assist in documentation, reporting, and implementation of ESG-related regulatory and quasi-legal tasks (such as waste management licenses, labor law adherence, etc.). Work closely with sustainability and ops teams to close compliance gaps. Legal Research and Policy Review: Conduct legal research on hospitality, labor, municipal, and property laws as applicable. Monitor legal changes impacting the hospitality sector and prepare briefs. Administrative and Legal Ops: Maintain digital and physical legal document repositories. Track legal deadlines, notices, renewals, and replies. Eligibility: 3rd year or above (5-year law program) / Final year (3-year LLB). Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation. Strong research and drafting skills. Interest in hospitality, travel, or ESG legal frameworks is a plus.
