Role & responsibilities Preparation and Cooking of Indian curry ,Indian Tandoor ,South Indian. Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting etc.)Cook food in various utensils or grillersCheck food while cooking to stir or turnEnsure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are servedKeep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchenEnsure all food and other items are stored properlyCheck quality of ingredientsPackage foods for serving workers to deliver to customerEnsure that the equipment are always in the right condition; report to manager when any fault occursKeep work areas clean and monitor oven temperaturesAssist other cooks in times of emergenciesCreate and prepare recipes and mealsPrepare side dishes and dessertsPreparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your specialtyMaintaining high standards of food hygiene and health & safety at all timesParticipating in preparing and cooking meals to specificationUsing a variety of cooking techniques and equipment to prepare mealsChecking food for quality and donenessRestocking kitchen supplies and ingredients as neededWorking under the direction of the F & B Manager or Senior Chef to ensure consistent presentation and quality of each dishAssisting with inventory and managing food cost and wasteGive indent of grocery in respect of menu freeze for party or as per the order in hand.
